Letter of Recommendation
Kate Graham has asked me to write a letter of recommendation on her behalf for and I am honored to do so. Kate was a student of mine in The Television Producer class I teach here at Columbia College. Kate has also been a student in the Sketch Comedy/Freq-Out class in the Directing program where she, along with her fellow students did an amazing job of directing a live Sketch Comedy show via the internet using zoom. I was bowled over with her talents there.
Outside of school, she has also held down a job while excelling in my class. She also has experience in the film industry. Kate is extremely ahead of the curve, and she will go far.
Kate impressed me as being thorough, conscientious, always on time and never late for class or with her assignments. She was always prepared for class each week and has asked intelligent questions throughout the semester, she has a perfect attendance record. When given production assignments she demonstrated the ability to work independently and make sound decisions concerning her production assignments. Kate is a team player, always eager to do what is necessary to get the job done. Kate’s accuracy is outstanding and follow-through complete; she is always willing to do whatever is asked of her and conducts herself in a very professional manner.
As a former Producer for the Siskel & Ebert show I can only conclude this letter with something Gene Siskel would always ask at the end of every interview “What do you know for sure?” That said I can say with confidence that Kate Graham would be an asset to any program. I see in her all the qualities a good television producer should have and highly recommend her.
If should you have any further questions I can be reached at (312) 330-5457.
Sincerely,
Janet LaMonica
